Rolex starts build of new factory

Picture from 'first stone' ceremony for the new Rolex factory in Bienne. It will be a 7 level 230,000m3 facility (3 underground and 4 above).

In 2011 when that plant is opened 100% of Rolex watches will be produced there with the first watches scheduled to leave the building in 2012.

Unofficially the build cost is put in the region of 300 million Swiss francs.

Feeling Festive in November

We had a treat last week when the Regent Street Christmas lights were turned on with the ceremony happening literally right outside our office. November is obviously a bit early but it was a nice spectacle anyway.
